Deep Creek Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long have you been offering elementary schooling?
We began with a small group of grade 1 students in the fall of 2004 housed at the main campus in Red Hill. In the summer of 2007 we purchased the former Perkiomenville Mennonite Church on Deep Creek Road and Perkiomen Avenue in Perkiomenville. Grades 1 through 4 are now housed at this location.
2. I am looking for a school with small classes. What is your average class size?
Because we are a newer school, our classes are still building. We have about 8 to 10 in each grade level with a nice mix of both boys and girls. We hope that our classes will grow to between 15 and 20 each, which is still small compared to public school class size in this area.
3. What about special classes?
We offer music, art, PE and Spanish classes, as well as private piano lessons on site. We believe in the arts and have several programs and events that showcase the arts with our children.
4. I am not sure we can afford Christian schooling? What is tuition?
Presently our tuition is less than $4,000 a year. About 1/3 of our students receive need based scholarships, so families should not allow funds to be a barrier to private Christ-centered schooling.
