Main Campus Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Are your teachers certified?

Our head teachers hold certificates and degrees as do most of our assistant teachers.  On this website, choose the campus you are interested in, then click on Faculty to view each teacher's qualifications.  All staff have annual fire safety training and are first aid certified.

2.  You are a Christian school.  What does that mean?

Our mission and worldview is Christ centered.  We are non-denominational and are not sponsored by any church.  However, the spiritual aspect of our program is our foundation.  We integrate Biblical principles into our curriculum, as well as teach children Bible stories for the value it places in the child's everyday life.  For example, we teach "God as the Creator of all things" and "He loves and cares for all people."  We also celebrate Christmas and Easter surrounding the life of Jesus.  Our teachers are committed to Christ and value teaching from a Biblical perspective.  Being a Christian school is our distinctive and along with a quality program, it drives our excellence.

3.  What is the difference between preschool & childcare?

Our preschool and childcare classes are the same. Both programs are led by degreed teachers, follow the same curriculum and have the same specialists and field trips. Simply, the hours vary. Our half day preschool children are only eligible to attend from 9:00-11:45 on their assigned days and the class runs a typical school year, September - June. The child care program offers more flexibility. Children are eligible to come any hours 6:30-5:30 and up to five days a week. Childcare students also eat lunch at school, have a rest time and additional hours of enrichment and play in the afternoons.

4.  What is Keystone STARS?

Keystone STARS is an initiative to improve, support, and recognize the continuous quality improvement efforts of early learning programs in Pennsylvania.  Participating centers must meet rigorous performance standards including health and safety, parent communication, staff qualification and child assessments, just to name a few.  Our STAR 3 rating gives you the peace of mind that your child is in a quality and thoroughly monitored child care center.

5.  What curriculum do you follow?

Beginning at our toddler level, the classes follow a model called "The Creative Curriculum".  The three year old classes begin to follow a thematic curriculum which is aligned with the Pennsylvania Standards for Early Learning.  This document from the state lists indicators which children should display for Kindergarten readiness.  All lesson plans are posted outside classrooms for parent reference.

6.  What school district do you serve?

We are located in the heart of the Upper Perkiomen School District.  Our before and after school students come from Marlborough, Hereford, Deep Creek Elementary and Salem Christian School.
